Shortcut keys
 

I do quite a lot of copying and pasting chord names and lyrics in Composer without any problems but I would like you to consider implementing shortcut keys for some of these PASTE SPECIAL commands. Could you use your "quick" commands for this?? Something like qpcn for "quick paste chord names" etc etc. Better still would be something like Ctrl+Shift+V but this might conflict with other commands. Martin :)

Another suggestion about pasting chords (and lyrics). Instead of selecting a region to paste into I would find it more convenient to have a command which says something like " paste chords starting at bar x" where x defaults to the bar number the user has currently selected, but make this number changeable.

Hi Martin,

We did test doing the paste functionality that way ("open ended based on the copied region") but found surprisingly that a lot of users complained because the region they thought they were pasting into was not the same size as the region they were copying from :) Ergo, we kept the "select the exact region to paste into" so there were no surprises such as copying over something that the user did not want copied over.

We do have some tasks to do that should make the process easier, though. Stay tuned :)
