Getting ABC file from .not file?
 

Hey everyone. I have a large collection of .not files I have made over the years. Now I would like to extract some of the original abc files back from them. Is there a way to do this?

We had considered including an abc export format at one point, but with the proliferation of music software using other filetypes and what looks like the steadily decreasing use of the abc type we decided not to include it.

So, you can't use our software to do a direct conversion, but you can use File -> Export MIDI to export a .mid copy of your file. You can then use an application like EasyABC (https://www.nilsliberg.se/ksp/easyabc/) or Starbound Composer (http://www.starboundcomposer.com/) to import the MIDI file and convert it to abc.

Disclaimer: I can't speak for the integrity of such a conversion as I have never used it, nor am I certain about how much (or any) support is currently available for those two programs. I found them in a quick internet search Description: https://www.midinotate.com/vb-forum/...lies/smile.gif
