How to eliminate the oscillation of notes?

I got a midi file from the web in which many notes oscillate up and down just like the bending of a guitar string, but I would like to have all of them straight, without any gliding. How can I do that?

Hi Patel,

It sounds like either the file contains Pitch Bends or Mod Wheel changes. You can use Notation Composer to see and edit these types of events, or remove them completely.

To remove Pitch bends, you can
(1) click the Graph Over Notes tab
(2) click the Pitch bend button (quarter note with wavy line)
(3) select the staff by clicking the staff select button (it should highlight in pink)
(4) press "Ctrl + D" (the shortcut for "Clear") and the pitch bends should all disappear from that selected staff.
You can remove Mod Wheel events (or any other controller event) by selecting the "Ctl with a red ?" button in step 2, then clicking on "Mod wheel" in the list. Then continue with steps 3 and 4.

Enjoy!
Sherry
