Changing Key
Can you change the actual sound on a midi file as far as the sound of the key? I got a song in Key of E, changed it to D, but when I loaded it on a keyboard , it still played in E. ???

Re: Changing Key
Hi,
Yes, you can. However, you'll need to use Staff/Transpose Actual Pitches and change the note pitches. If you just double-click on the key signature and change that, it only changes how the notation is presented (eg. in F (one flat) versus C (no accidentals) ) but the pitches remain the same (eg. any "C"s in the original score are still "C"s in the new key signature) Using Staff/Transpose Actual Pitches, and going from E to D will result in the "C"s being changed to "Bb"s. ttfn, Sherry |
