Hi,
You can individually assign upper or lower voice to any note you select. You can either assign the voice to the note at the time you enter it (if you're using mouse or Step-time recording), or select the note and then change the voice any time after you've entered it. I recreated (in some respects, but not all :) ) part of the first measure in the piece for your picture. You can click on any of those notes to see their voice assignment, to see how it's set.
