David, thank you for the help. Attached is the midi, a short clip - a work in progress - notice that the first note is a pick up. I could certainly re do the file by hand into 4/4 I just thought if...

I tried your method but things do not look right. That first measure should be a pickup note on the last sixteenth of a 4/4 measure (I would think as the cut time version has an eighth note pick up)...

Any magic trick I can do to change a midi file that is in cut time to 4/4 ? I tried just changing the time signature but that leaves the measures the same and just doubles the tempo.
