And finally: Microsoft is going to launch new MIDI software as part of Windows 11 by end of 2025/early 2026. The existing MIDI driver software from the mid 80s will be replaced. This software package is called
Windows MIDI Services. The final update package of Windows 11 is not yet defined today as of Oct. 22nd, 2025.
Windows MIDI Services offers MIDI loops which are integrated into Windows 11. Composer/Musician 5 will support these loop features in an update.
