In Help -> User Guide, you can look up (using the Index) "copy and paste" for step-by-step instructions.
The main steps are
- Decide what it is you want to copy and paste. You can copy and paste notes and all, or you can copy and paste just Lyrics, or just a particular MIDI cc graph.
- In the source file, use Region/Select to select the region to copy, and then either use the shortcut "CTL + C" or use Edit/Copy
- In the target file, use Region/Select to select the region to paste into, and then use either the shortcut "CTL + V" or use Edit/Paste
There are also "special" paste operations you can do, like repeating a loop, inserting measures, etc. Those fall under "Edit -> Paste -> Special....."
