You cannot delete a section of a staff, however, you can use "Hide Resting Staves" under the Format menu to show the staff only when you have content in it.
You can use Layout/Page Layout and the various tools to separate or keep measures and staves together to adjust your printed systems until only the sections you want to appear do.
