staff lines uneven thickness

Whether I export as a pdf or png or print directly the staff lines never appear with a consistent thickness and printed pages sometimes even leave out a staff line. Any remedy for this?

This issue is related to resolution of the screen (monitor/display) and the printer. The staff lines are calculated in pixels. A line can only have natural numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4. Rounding is required depending on the scaling and resolution. To see this in action, simply perform zooming in Composer. At certain stages the thickness of the lines will increase. It's the same with dpi scaling. E.g. for a printer, if the resolution is low a one pixel line may disappear.



Can you please let us know (1) the resolution of your monitor and (2) the resolution of the printer (the "printing" to the printer as well as pdf saving depend on the printer driver) that you're using? That will help us pinpoint this particular situation.
