I've been quite busy, working hard on my French section last two days. Therefore, I held my answer.

What version of MNC (Midi Notate Composer) do you use, Derek? I couldn't open it, unfortunately.

"Drops of Champagne" - is out of questions. That was just an example my arrangement of tangos. No apology necessary... I want to ask you just one thing: DO YOU LIKE THE WAY this one is arranged? I've never heard "Ole Guapa" and "Ecstasy Tango", but I believe those should be great tangos. Everything depends of ARRANGEMENT!

This is cool, Derek, I kind of proud to be UNIQUE. Also, I don't think that anybody else (I mean: any musician, not just an accordion player) has a repertoire wider than I do. Have you look at another threads of this page, which I opened? Believe it or not, this is less than 1% of what I'm actually playing!
And you don't have to like every single piece I'm playing! I want you just to acknowledge it. That's all...

Maybe it sounds bizarre, but I have an interesting explanation of that. You see, Derek, I've got a very specific "point of view" on everything I'm listening or playing. The point is this: "Can I sell it out?"
Another words, my music is strictly commercial! I know exactly: what, how and in what kind of performance music should sound, to be sold out. So, the every single piece I'm performing daily or putting on the Web IS COMMERCIAL! Which means: "If you're going to learn those pieces, find an appropriate place in your city and start to play them on public, you're going to MAKE MONEY IMMEDIATELY!"

Good Morning Kombrig, I am sat here suffering with a terrible cold and a cough which has left my throat on fire, I hope your health is in better shape than mine is at the moment.
I am sorry my letter was so disjointed but when I first started nothing seemed to turn out right and once posted the imperfect posting cannot be removed so you ended up with a lot of failed attempts, I think the fault was mine in that I did not understand the limits set on a posting, however, I have learned from my mistakes and I don't think it will happen again. Sorry you couldn't open 'Annette', I'll see if I can get it to you another way. I can see I'll have to take another look at your French section and see what you have done to it. I have opened your 'Drops of Champagne' number again and I find the arrangement just fine, I have put it into my music and, if it's O.K. with you I will put it to our seniors band and see if they would like it in our repertoire.
Yes, I have been into your other threads, in fact I have listened to everything you have posted, that's why I understand how wide your interests range. I'm going to finish here for a while, I don't want to go over the limit again and have the same problems as before. I'll get back to you when I have been to your 'French' thread again.....

Hello Kombrig...Thanks for the beautiful Waltz...I'm sorry you have had to wait for this reply but I have been quite sick this week and am only now feeling like getting back to normal. Next on my agenda is to do an arrangement of "The Hills of Manjury" so that when we start rehearsals in February it will be ready for them to try.
I understand what you are talking about when you advocate commercializing music and for you that is fine, you are still working on your career, mine is over and not being a professional any more allows me greater choice over the music I wish to perform, also my audiences are now all seniors, hospital patients and other institutionalized older people. I play the kind of music they are familiar with, old songs and ballads and country music etc... they like nice melodic solos to so I am expecting "Manjury" to be quite popular, where does it come from??? it has a Russian like flavour to it, we have a strong Ukrainian community up here and they would like it I'm sure. I played Accordion and Bass Clarinet with the Edmonton Ukranian Orchestra for three years back in the 90's, it was a lot of fun but the music could be quite tough at the high speeds they required for some of the dancers, they were quite spectacular the way they threw themselves all over the stage.

Good Morning!!..Thank You Sherry & Fred for your kind remarks, I am so glad you liked Aerya's Waltz...I must agree Fred, I too preferred the piano rendition but only on the computer, it really sounds good on a live accordion and I agree that Alek will prefer the accordion version, but I have heard what he can do with a waltz on his accordion and my bet is that he would really make it sing. But also it does sound nice on my piano so I think I can have the best of both worlds.
By the way, there is a sequel to this which will be coming up shortly.

Well, Well Kombrig! Two very impressive waltzes, the jazz waltz immediately brought Tommy Gamino to mind, he is the only jazz accordion player I know capable of the kind of speed and accuracy needed for such a piece, yes, it's a tremendous piece of writing but not being a jazz man I have to say that I preferred 'Youth', a very nice waltz, I tried it at various speeds and I like it very much at 200, bring it down a few more notches and it could be danced to, it's a tricky piece but well worth learning, a nice addition to any accordionist's repertoire.

I haven't been on here for a little while because I'm just getting over a bout of pneumonia,however, I'm nearly back to normal so I should be posting some more music soon.....Have a Good one....

I must say, the Jazz Fiery Muz was awesome. Totally a masterpiece, I loved it. You can tell Zekaban that if you want. I don't really like accordion music that much, but that piece... was wonderful.

But make no mistake about these pieces. Most of them is just a compositions and have never been performed in live.

My publications is quite different: I'm, actually, arranging the music I play many years every single day.

Hello Kombrig, I went into the site of your friend and was able to listen to lots of great music, unfortunately I couldn't open it all but I listened to everything I could on both pages, I must say there is an awful lot of talent there, it will have to stay there though as it was impossible to get any of it downloaded, anyway Thank You for the link, I enjoyed venturing into the Russian zone and I realize that there is no way possible for me to speak and understand Russian as you handle English......

Hi Kombrig....Thank you for Lara's waltz, of course you probably know that there have been many many arrangements of this lovely song, I did one in 5 parts a couple of years ago, it was played by a band of 28 accordions, quite a sound.

What I find different about yours is the key you chose, I have played it in at least 3 other keys but never in the key of 'A', most unusual, I don't know why but I find lots of musicians seem to shy away from 3 sharps yet they have no problem with 3 flats....peculiar.

Perhaps, you going to be 'surprised', if I'll tell you that the REAL key I'm playing this song is F SHARP MAJOR. And this is true... I attracted by a SOFT sound of this key.
I explained a whole thing to you at a "Tango" section.
Having a button accordion, I don't have to worry about an amount of sharps, flats and naturals. I call it, actually, ALTERATIONS.
