I also need the older style of trill (for western European music of the early classical era and prior) that starts on the note a diatonic step above the notated one. Tried your suggestion and NotationComposer picks the upper note to notate the trill. That is, for the pralltriller example D, C, D, C that domdom mentioned, NC puts the ornament on the D when it is needed on the C.
