Howdy,
Sorry for the frustration - better Free Text specification is on our list of things to do. In the meantime, you can use a "trick" to get your text only once on the conductor's score, as well as once on all your parts. That trick is to replace one of the "Page Text" items with the text you want. For example, rather than using Free Text, you can use Text/Page Text/Date. When you first click into the score, the date will appear there. However, if you double-click the date, you will get an editing box that has "<date>" in it that you can then edit to "andante" or whatever you want. You can then use the buttons in the toolbar to specify whether the text appears only on the first page, only on subsequent pages, or on all pages (see the buttons with the white pages and various configurations of red banner on them). I should probably post this in the "Tips and Tricks" section as well ![]() ttfn, Sherry

That works well and I'm satisfied with the result.
Is there a way to have one for the Conductors score and one for the other parts? I had to find a spot where it didn't interfere with anything over all parts... but overall it does work how I want, thanks. Joe

Howdy Joe,
Quote:
The issue here is that since we're using the "trick" of using a Page Text item, it gets placed at a specific location relative to the page size, eg. "always at 2 inches from the top edge, 1.5 inches from the left edge." This may overlap with other "fluid" elements of various parts, though. Free text, however, is placed relative to some "anchor point" on the score, eg. 2nd beat of the first measure of the first system, or some such relative placement. As I mentioned we do have better Free Text options (to have it behave somewhat like a page text element, but keep the better relative placement of free text) on the to-do list. ttfn, Sherry
