Hi Peter,

"Rover" is a long-long-time favorite of mine. The first recording of it I owned was 33 1/3, in fact. Your arrangement is very well done and I enjoyed it very much.

I thought you might find what I did with the song in the 3rd movement of my sonata for flute and piano, where "Rover" and "The Holy Ground" are the thematic material.

I'll attach the .not file, which uses the piano in the Merlin Creative soundfont bank and the Hagi flute. I never got around to cleaning up the score, btw. The better sounding mp3 is at:

Nice job,
mgj

Hi mgj
I think your piece is really well done and I admire your creative ability although piano music more in the style of New Orleans, rock 'n' roll, blues, soul is my thing.
Which instrument(s) do you play? And are you classically trained?

Hi Peter,
Yes classically trained by a classically trained pianist (who made his living by playing what you would call cocktail piano). I have touched neither for quite a few years, but played the piano and flute.

Best,
mgj
