Default Suggested Change to QTP Command

When you use the qtp command, you get to the Select Type of Transposition pop-up. If you want the default (Transpose Actual Pitches), you can simply enter the whole command as qtpn. If you want to Transpose Instrument Key, you have to take your hand off the keyboard to click the mouse to select the radio button. You can follow that with either a mouse click on the Next button, or type an N.

The suggested change is to expand the qtp command to include qtpan for Transpose Actual Pitches, or qtpin for Transpose Instrument Key, without involving the mouse, since your hands are on the keyboard anyway. I use both of these paths quite a bit, and I like keyboard shortcuts.

Thank you,
Ralph Rayner

Default Re: Suggested Change to QTP Command

Ralph, Thanks for the suggestion but this procedure is in place since ever.

The procedure is:
  • shortcut qtp for starting the transpose wizard and preselect "Transpose Actual Piches"
  • shortcut qti for starting the transpose wizard and preselect "Transpose Instrument Key"
  • and finally the ENTER key to step to the next wizard steps

Ahhh! Thank you, Reinhold. I should have read the manual a little more closely. Sorry to have wasted your time.
