As I have said in the previous post with this song. . .this was a real person, in a real situation. . .and I was inspired to write her emotions and condition in a song. Her life was the real drama, and I can't imagine a more tearful second act than she showed at that time. But. . . that said. . .I can see "Please don't hurt me, Hurt someone else." substituted for "Please don't hurt me, just treat me well." You know, now that I think about it, if you can see Act 1 and Act 3 in this little drama. . .write it. Reminds me of the colloquialism: 'When Your a Hammer. . . Everything looks like a nail.'
