Default Shine On Harvest Moon Duet

"Shine On Harvest Moon" was written by Nora Bayes and Jack Norworth in 1908, and debuted in that year's Ziegfeld Follies.

This song was written in the ABAB form, with the A section being the Verse, and the B section being the Chorus. The boy and the girl alternate stanzas in the Verse and the entire chorus joins in for the Chorus. The lyrics tell the tale of two young lovers, out in the dark, when the moon rises and saves the day.

This song is notated as Esay Swing. I have adjusted the attack and duration of the eighth notes to approximate this feel.

If you would like to see the lyrics or the chords, you can use Composer commands to display them: for lyrics use qsl; for chords use qscn.
