Version 3.1.0 released
Today as of Feb. 27th, 2018 we released the new version 3.1.0 of Composer, Musician and Player. In the past 5 months we had run intensive beta tests under the working title version 3.0.7. We received tremendous feedback from many people. This feedback was very valuable and helpful for us to launch a great feature package and to reach a high quality level. We were able to release all the features which we had planned at the begining of the project planning. Even more, we have been able to add additional features during the beta trial like the mp3 audio export by Composer. For the full feature content, please visit the What's New page.
Here I would like to thank all of you who actively contributed to reach this milestone. In particular I would like to thank Sherry Crann for servicing all of you and to provide excellent feedback. Reinhold |

Update for Version 3.1
Today, March 18th, 2018 we released the update 3.1.1
This update is just one single change in MusicXML import in Composer where in very rare cases a MusicXML file could not be imported. MusicXML files from certain other vendors mainly scan software may contain elements which are not complete. The MusicXML spec here is not very precise and leaves room for interpretation whether this is correct or not. The update will allow to import those files. Unfortunately, this situation had not come up in the 6 months beta period. We decided to distribute this change immediately because we see more people updating. For those who already updated Composer to version 3.1.0 this update is only required if you find a MusicXML file which cannot be imported. For Musician, Player there is no change in 3.1.1 compared to 3.1.0, but in order to have one common numbering scheme we changed the numbering here as well. Reinhold |
