"Sixteen Going on Seventeen" was written by Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein III in 1959 for the hit Broadway Musical, "The Sound of Music".

This song is one of many written by this fantastic musical team. They collaborated on quite a number of successful Broadway shows.
