I don't know about you. . . .But, I've ben busy. Taxes, Weather, Work and more Taxes. . .Gee, when does it end?
So, I found a little time to do something I never do. . .and that is. . .Revisit a song I've already written. The song " I'm Not Lonely" was written and posted already, but after listening to it on Notation 3 a few times, I thought "I could do that better."
There isn't a sound that imitates the human voice very well in the Sound Synth, but I used what was available. (If you know of any better, do tell) Also, Sherry offered good advice on using the corrected 'transpose to Instrument Key' option in the Staff drop down menu. . .that works well. So, here goes!
Compare the two versions (use headphones, if you got them) and tell me if you like either or both. I will try to improve my posts, and show the results for your critique and to learn from.

So, what we've got here is a nice second act ballad for the girl.


Not sure about the "Hurt someone else" lyric, but otherwise, I get a real sense of who she is and where she is.


Have you written the rest of the show?

As I have said in the previous post with this song. . .this was a real person, in a real situation. . .and I was inspired to write her emotions and condition in a song. Her life was the real drama, and I can't imagine a more tearful second act than she showed at that time.
But. . . that said. . .I can see "Please don't hurt me, Hurt someone else." substituted for "Please don't hurt me, just treat me well."
You know, now that I think about it, if you can see Act 1 and Act 3 in this little drama. . .write it. Reminds me of the colloquialism: 'When Your a Hammer. . . Everything looks like a nail.'
Well, dj, get your inspiration where you can. Mine comes randomly, and often.
