Displaying Multiple Parts
Is there a way to display multiple parts in one view? For example, in a jazz band score, show only the saxes, or only the trumpets, or only the trombones? The Conductor's Score displays all of the parts, but there would be times when it is helpful to see only one section. It seems I vaguely remember having done this in Composer, but I can't remember where I did it and I can't conjure up a search argument that does me any good in the User's Guide. Ralph Rayner

Re: Displaying Multiple Parts
Hi Ralph,
Quote:
Briefly: In Composer, each instrument in a score is a Staff. A Part (as defined by Composer) can be made up of either
You can use the Part -> Display or define part dialog to create new Parts and designate which staves belong to them (Composer automatically creates a Part for each single staff in a .mid file that you open, or if you add a Staff to an existing song file, so you shouldn't have to do a single-staff Part). If you need step-by-step walk through for using the dialog, just click Help -> User Guide and use the Index to look up "part" and then choose the first subtopic "add part". ttfn, Sherry
