Template for violin with three tab lines
Hi folks,
The following is a "quick and dirty" workaround for the current lack of tab support in Musician and Composer. A fiddle player asked for a very simple template with three tab lines beneath a single staff of notation. I came up with the following template, which I'll share here. It uses Lines, which can have Free Text typed on top of them. It's not exactly elegant, but the idea may help others do a task (eg. other types of tab) that they may need occasionally. If the lines need to be extended eg. for additional measures, it's easy enough to (1) click on the line to select it and (2) hold the E key while pressing the Right Arrow key on your keyboard to extend the line to the next measure. Continue to click as needed If you want to save this, or any modifications of the file, as a Template file that you'll use often for creating or formatting a file, just (1) format the file the way you want it (eg. add more lines, change them to dotted, etc.), (2) delete any notes in it (or they'll show up in the template ), then (3) use File/Save as Template. ViolinWithTabLines.not If anyone else has other templates that you've developed, or other "tricks" that you use for accomplishing things that aren't yet supported fully in the software, please do feel free to put them here or in a separate thread. Enjoy! Sherry
