Select All command sometimes fails
With version 2.6 (&2.6.1) (at least on Windows Vista) when a NOT file is saved displaying a part that does not contain the last staff in the staff setup list, the Select All Command (ctrl-A) will not work correctly when that file is reopened. In fact, Select All will only select the staves from the first through the last staff that was in the part that was displayed when the file was last saved.
For example if a file is saved which displays a part containing the first staff only, when the file is reopened, Select All will only select the first staff. In addition the Convert region to selection of notes notes (qcrn) command fails under the same conditions. Under those conditions, all staves can never-the-less be selected by using the Select region... dialog. However, even with all staves selected, the qcrn command will only select those notes that are in the region that the Select All command would select. Returning to the given example, regardless which staves are selected the qcrn command will only select the notes in the first staff and then only if the first staff is part of the selection.
