thanks very much for the followup. I will definitely try the alternatives you suggest. It is actually quite frustrating to disable and enable then restart even though it solves my problem. As for In to OUT I never would have guessed that was the standard, but that would be a helpful hint to add to the guide for newbies like me! thanks again, shelby
