Hi Marc,

If you're adding chord names to the score, they will not add notes to the score. When you play the file, you will still only hear the notes that the original file contained.

Using Musician (which if I recall correctly is what you are using), and depending on if the file you are using has a staff that only has chord notes, you can "Solo" the staff that contains the chord notes by clicking on the "Solo" staff control button (the one with two little green people - it will change to a single green person when it is on "solo"). Then when you play the file, only the chord notes will sound.
