Hello Ian, Here's an ex

Hello Ian,

Here's an experiment that might help you better understand what's happening:

Create the not1 example again in Composer.
Export it as a MIDI file.
Don't touch the MIDI file in Band-in-Box(!)
Immediately reopen the MIDI file Composer. What does the notation look like? It looks exactly the same as you started with, right?

What conclusion can one make from this experiment?
