Hi Sherry,

Thanks. I was going to upload the second movement today, but instead I find myself in the process of re-installing windows (to get Hal.dll).

all best,

Default In order to try out the site,

In order to try out the site, I have put the Violin Concerto up at the following URLs:

Violin Concerto 1st movement http://senduit.com/dbf49c expires 11/17

Violin Concerto 2nd movement http://senduit.com/8e7698 expires 11/17

Violin Concerto 3rd movement http://senduit.com/fd35cf expires in a few minutes

The 3rd movement expiration is because I neglected to set the expiration date.

At soundclick, the 1st movement had to be truncated due to size limits. Here, both the 1st and 2nd movement are complete and alone.

all best,
mgj

Hi Mg
The site seems to work out pretty well.Violin Concerto 3 download just expired as already expected.Otherwise no problems accessing and downloading from the site.
Worth mentioning on the TPP thread I think.
Cheers

Hi MG
I have no link to Violin 3.The site should be safe,I suppose, because of the lack of ads etc,.( Jaap Veeneman warned me about this in his letter above ).

Good grief, I'm getting forgetful.

http://senduit.com/785d4b Violin Concerto 3rd movement.

Regarding safety, I downloaded from this site, to test it, with nothing adverse that I know of. But I also downloaded David's piece from ZShare, and nothing adverse has happened that I know of.

Sorry, about forgetting to include the URL.

all best,
mgj

Hi MG
Thanks for the link.I am now downloading.
BTW,downloading should be without risks, but putting links in this Forum to sites with lots of ads can give problems with the (NSP ) Notation Spam Police.
I have learned my lesson to be more carefull when looking for TPP´s.
Cheers

Default Hi Djim, quote: downloading

Hi Djim,

quote: downloading should be without risks, but putting links in this Forum to sites with lots of ads can give problems...

Hmmm. Too bad about problems; the download from this site is quite fast.

I did see several ads, but was not compelled to click on any of them. Firefox notified me that pop-up ads were blocked, but when I allowed one, all I had to do was click CLOSE. I'm not sure how giving a URL for a download of a piece of music constitutes spam, even if the download site contains advertisements, which may be a means of supporting the site. Must be spam by association?

At any rate, the download was fast and though ads irritate me, mostly because they are often not very well done rather than because they're there, I didn't suffer from my visit to the site. I'll run my ad/mal-ware detecting programs and let you know if anything came in the back door, as it were.

all best,
mgj

Howdy guys,

That's a nice idea, to warn other potential users about pop-ups or "lots of flashing ads" on a particular site. Those sites may still be of interest, but at least folks can go in with a bit of a heads-up.

Thanks!
Sherry
